Supporting the Foundation
Although the word “foundation” is in our name, the Mansfield Foundation is not a grant-making organization. The Foundation is a nonprofit 501 (c) (3) organization that was established with an appropriation from the U.S. Congress. The original appropriation remains in an endowment that provides less than 9 percent of the Foundation’s support. As a result, our programs rely on funding from foundations, corporations, and individuals who share our belief in the importance of a strong U.S.-Asia relationship.
Financial contributions, both large and small, enable us to develop and implement programs that contribute to engagement in Asia at a pivotal moment for U.S. relations with the the region. Contributions are tax-deductible and can be designated as unrestricted or for the endowment or a specific program area.Donate to the Foundation
Corporate Friends of Mansfield Program
The Mansfield Foundation welcomes opportunities to partner with corporations. The Foundation developed the Corporate Friends of Mansfield (CFM) program in 2014 to offer our corporate partners benefits tailored to their strategic interests while we work together to promote understanding and cooperation between the United States and Asia. Corporate sponsors receive information, networking, and promotional benefits. They benefit from the Mansfield Foundation’s vast network on both sides of the Pacific through exclusive briefings in Washington, D.C., and Tokyo as well as other opportunities for communication and collaboration. Please see our CFM brochure for more information about support levels and benefits. Among the benefits available to Corporate Friends is the Foundation’s Visiting Fellows Program. Please see our Visiting Fellows brochure for more information about this program.
The Foundation also is able to work closely with corporate sponsors to develop programs that address issues critical to their companies’ operations and interests. For further information about opportunities to partner with the Mansfield Foundation, please contact Mansfield Foundation Vice President Benjamin Self at (202) 347-1994 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
