The Maureen and Mike Mansfield Foundation connects people and ideas to advance mutual interests in U.S.-Asia relations — through fellowships, legislative exchanges, and dialogue programs that build the expertise and trust our alliances depend on.
Although the word “foundation” is in our name, we are not a grant-making organization. The Mansfield Foundation is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization established with an appropriation from the U.S. Congress. The original appropriation remains in an endowment that provides less than 15 percent of our operating support. As a result, our programs rely on funding from foundations, corporations, and individuals who share our belief in the importance of a strong U.S.-Asia relationship.
Financial contributions of all sizes enable us to develop and implement programs that deepen U.S. engagement in Asia at a pivotal moment. Contributions are tax-deductible and may be designated as unrestricted or directed to the endowment or a specific program area.
