In 2026, the Mansfield Foundation proudly celebrates a milestone: our 30th class of Mansfield Fellows. For three decades, this groundbreaking program has built a corps of U.S. federal government employees fluent in Japanese language and culture: leaders whose deep understanding of Japan has strengthened “the most important bilateral relationship in the world, bar none.”
