On February 1, the Mansfield Foundation partnered with the George Washington University Space Policy Institute and the Japan Foundation Center for Global Partnership on a public seminar. Members of the U.S. Japan Space Forum discussed the emerging and evolving threats that underscore the importance of American and Japanese collaboration on space. The Forum also assessed the emergence of new space technologies and actors and discuss challenges of reforming the legal and regulatory ecosystem in order to accommodate these developments. The seminar concluded with a keynote address by Frank Rose, former assistant secretary of state for arms control, verification, and compliance. An English Flyer of the event can be found here.
