From June 4-6, 2017 the Mansfield Foundation, in collaboration with the Korea Foundation, brought nine young American and Korean scholars together to take a fresh look at challenges on the Korean Peninsula and explore new ideas for ROK-U.S. policy coordination. The June workshop provided an opportunity for the young scholars to test assumptions, identify and prioritize core interests, discuss policy goals and examine policy tools to advance shared alliance objectives. The group’s key findings and general guidance are outlined in a new report, “Navigating Uncertainties on the Korean Peninsula: In Search of a Roadmap.”
