After a successful eight-year tenure as Vice President of the Maureen and Mike Mansfield Foundation, Benjamin Self is departing the Foundation to pursue other opportunities.
Ben’s tenure at the Foundation has been marked by several significant accomplishments, including the restoration of the two-year model for the Mansfield Fellowship, the Foundation’s signature international exchange program. Ben also shepherded the U.S.-Japan Network for the Future and the U.S.-Japan PhRMA Exchange programs through the COVID-19 pandemic, from which they have emerged strong and resilient. Ben’s deep knowledge of Japan and passion for international exchange programming has enriched the Foundation’s efforts to nurture the partnership that Ambassador Mansfield famously called, ‘the most important bilateral relationship in the world, bar none.’ I will miss him and wish him well.
