Mansfield Fellow Leo Bosner recently concluded a study on Japan’s response to the March 2011 disasters. The research study was conducted in early 2012, when Mr. Bosner visited Japan under an invitational fellowship from the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS). From January to February 2012 he conducted interviews with individuals who were involved in or familiar with the response to the March 2011 earthquake and tsunami disasters in eastern Japan. He also gave lectures on local-level disaster response planning. He was hosted by Kanagawa University. Read his March 2012 study here.
