On May 16, Mansfield Fellow Stephen Ching (U.S. Department of State) discussed “The U.S. Defense Industrial Base: Continued Importance, Current Challenges, and Potential Implications for Japan” at a Tokyo seminar jointly organized by the Mansfield Foundation and the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS). Mr. Ching is a Contracting Officer in the Department of State’s Bureau of Administration. His presentation was moderated by Atsushi Sunami, Vice President and professor at GRIPS.
