On January 15, 2013, the Mansfield Foundation, in cooperation with the U.S.-China Business Council, hosted a panel discussion on “Key Issues and Opportunities in U.S.-China Trade and Investment: Perspectives from Industry and Government.” The discussion featured Assistant USTR for China Affairs Claire Reade, U.S.-China Business Council Vice President Erin Ennis, and Export Now CEO Frank Lavin. Moderated by Executive Director Gordon Flake, the discussion addressed the United States’ top trade and investment priorities for China over the next four years, China’s leadership transition and ongoing five-year plan, and critical issues for policymakers and opinion leaders moving forward. The discussion was part of the Foundation’s Capitol Hill Asia Policy Dialogue Series, which is supported by its Corporate Affiliates.
