Shino Yokotsuka is Associate Professor of Law at Kumamoto University, a National University Corporation. She is the inaugural Mansfield Fellow and liaison at Kumamoto University. Her research interests include nationalism and ethnic conflicts, comparative democracy, freedom of religion & religion in public schools and in foreign affairs, minority rights, civil disobedience and social movements, and comparative immigration & refugee policies.
Dr. Yokotsuka holds a Ph.D. in Global Governance and Human Security from the University of Massachusetts, Boston, as well as Masters degrees from UMass Boston, University of Delaware, and Ohio University. She completed a B.A. in Area and Language at the Tokyo University of Foreign Studies.
