The Mansfield Foundation recognizes select individuals with the title of Senior or Distinguished Fellows. Each category is non-resident.
Senior Fellows are researchers and practitioners in foreign policy or international affairs, with a specialization in Asia, who have contributed meaningfully to U.S.-Japan or broader U.S.-Asia relations. Senior Fellows contribute articles and essays for the Foundation, speak, moderate, and participate in Foundation events, and support the Foundation’s development efforts.
Distinguished Fellows have a publicly recognized record of long-standing contributions to U.S.-Japan or U.S.-Asia relations. Distinguished Fellows have served at ambassadorial rank or held statewide/national elected office, and may contribute meaningfully to the Foundation’s mission.
