A high-level conference interpreter, Mrs. Sasae has traveled around the world, most recently to the G20 Ministerial Meeting in Karuizawa, the Trans-Pacific Partnership ministerial conference in Atlanta, the East Asia Summit in Cambodia, Nikkei’s The Future of Asia 2021 conference, the Mt. Fuji Dialogue 2021, the COP 10 meeting in Nagoya, and the World Economic Forum in China, among others.
She is married to Kenichiro Sasae, former Ambassador of Japan to the United States, and lived in Washington, DC, from December 2012 until March 2018. While she was in Washington, she organized an interactive panel discussion program called the Nobuko Forum, and has since promoted a dialogue between female leaders and young professional women in both the United States and Japan. She also serves as a Trustee of Toyo University and a Councilor of the International Education Center.
Mrs. Sasae holds a degree in English from Aoyama Gakuin University in Tokyo and Master of Education from the University of Pennsylvania.
