Masayuki Matsushita

Masayuki Matsushita has served as vice chairman of the board of Panasonic Corporation since 2000.   He began his career with Panasonic in 1968, soon after graduating from the Department of Economics of Keio University.  Early in his career he studied at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and worked for Matsushita Electric Corporation of America (now Panasonic Corporation of North America).  He later served as director for several divisions of Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd., which became known as Panasonic Corporation in 2008.   He became senior managing director of the company’s overseas operations in 1995 and executive vice president in 1996.   He has served on the company’s board since 1986.

Mr. Matsushita has held leadership positions in several business and economic organizations and currently serves as a vice chairman of the Kansai Economic Federation. He now resides in Osaka, Japan.
