Mary D. Byron

Mary D. Byron recently retired as global head of Corporate Technology at Goldman, Sachs & Co. She served on the Technology Division Executive, Operating and Risk Committees. Prior to this role, Ms. Byron was based in Tokyo from 2005 to 2011 as head of Technology for Asia Pacific and co-chair of the Asia Pacific Diversity Committee. She joined Goldman Sachs in Telecommunications Support in 1989 and has held various roles within Technology, including managing the firm’s global networks and computing infrastructure. Ms. Byron was co-head of Enterprise Technology from 2000 to 2002 and global head of Divisional Systems from 2003 to 2005. She was named managing director in 1999 and partner in 2006.

Ms. Byron serves on the Corporate Advisory Board for Inwood House, the New York Advisory Board for Room to Read as well as on the Board of Directors for the Maureen and Mike Mansfield Foundation and the Auburn Theological Seminary.

Ms. Byron earned a BA from Marquette University in 1986.
