On January 25th and 26th, researchers called numbers nationwide (excluding certain districts in Fukushima) arbitrary formulated by a computer, also known as the “Asahi RDD” method. Out of the numbers formulated by the computer, 3439 sets of numbers turned out to be valid home phone numbers. There were 1914 valid responses; therefore the response rate was 52%.

Follow up questions are indicated by ◇. Numbers within 〈 〉represent its ratio to all the participants. Numbers within (   ) are results from March 15th and 16th.

So far, the Japanese Government had interpreted the Constitution of Japan to not allow Japan to carry on the right to collective self-defense, but the Abe Administration plans to reinterpret the Constitution of Japan so that Japan can exercise the right to collective self-defense.
