Young Scientists Symposium

On December 1, alumni of the Mansfield-PhRMA Research Scholars Program will participate in the fourth annual Young Scientists Symposium in Tokyo. This symposium is intended to give young scientists an opportunity to look at their research from different perspectives and to inspire them to contribute to innovative drug development. Leading experts will share their experiences and insights on translational research, clinical research, and how to bring research achievements to market. Four alumni of the Mansfield-PhRMA Research Scholars Program will serve as speakers or moderators at the symposium: Masahisa Katsuno (Nagoya University Graduate School of Medicine, PhRMA Program Cohort II); Kiyoshi Okada (Osaka University Hospital, PhRMA Program Cohort II); Makiko Kusama (Japan Agency for Medical Research and Development, PhRMA Program Cohort II); and Hiroya Kuwahara (Tokyo Medical and Dental University, PhRMA Cohort III). Sponsors of the symposium include thePharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA) and the 39th Annual Meeting of the Molecular Biology Society of Japan.
