Associate Director of Programs and Development Richard Pearson Addresses Formosa Foundation’s 2012 Ambassador Program

On June 21, Mansfield Foundation Associate Director of Programs and Development Richard Pearson spoke to the Formosa Foundation’s 2012 Ambassador Program. Mr. Pearson’s comments focused on the declining influence of Taiwan in the United States. The Formosa Foundation’s Ambassador Program is an intensive three-week public policy training program focused on Taiwan and U.S.-Taiwan relations. Participants include undergraduate and graduate students as well as journalists from the U.S., Taiwan and Canada. Roughly 30 students and professionals participated in this year’s program. In addition to Mr. Pearson, program participants heard from Assistant Secretary of State Kurt Campbell and members of Congress and congressional staff.
