Japan’s Possible Entry Into the Trans-Pacific Partnership and Its Implications

Mark Manyin, U.S.-Japan Network for the Future Cohort I participant and Specialist in Asian Affairs at the Congressional Research Service, has authored a new report with his colleague William Cooper (Specialist in International Trade and Finance). The August 24, 2012 report, “Japan’s Possible Entry Into the Trans-Pacific Partnership and Its Implications,” provides an overview of the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) and U.S.-Japan economic ties, and examines U.S. and Japanese objectives that could be met by Japan’s possible entry into the TPP.
