Elly (Sunyoung) Cho is a program assistant at the Mansfield Foundation’s Washington, D.C., office. Ms. Cho’s responsibilities include the overall operation of the Foundation’s Washington office as well as management of the Foundation’s website, Asian Opinion Poll database, and Visiting Fellows and internship programs. She also supports the Foundation’s Capitol Hill Asia Policy Dialogues, Board of Directors and related programs.
Ms. Cho joined the Mansfield Foundation in 2013. Prior to joining the Foundation, Ms. Cho interned as an overseas correspondent with the Ministry of Unification, Republic of Korea, where she had the opportunity to interact with North Korean defectors, South Korean government officials, and other professionals involved in issues related to inter-Korean relations. She also worked as an intern at the Mansfield Foundation’s Washington, D.C. office, where she was responsible for general administrative tasks as well as supporting various programs. Ms. Cho graduated from the American University with a BA in international studies with a focus in East Asian studies.
