Richard Pearson serves as Associate Director, Programs and Development at the Maureen and Mike Mansfield Foundation. He is responsible for the development and implementation of the Foundation’s China programs, including exchanges, conferences and policy dialogues, as well as other Asia-focused programming. Mr. Pearson is also responsible for the Foundation’s Capitol Hill Asia Policy Dialogues and Foundation development efforts in the U.S. and Asia.

Mr. Pearson joined the Mansfield Foundation in 2010 with extensive experience in U.S.-Asia relations gained through prior work in the public, private, media and NGO sectors.

Mr. Pearson earned a Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy from The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy and a Bachelor of Arts from St. Olaf College.  At Fletcher he studied international finance and was affiliated with the school’s Maritime Studies Program.  He studied in Taiwan on a Fulbright grant.
